Our Story
Originally opened in 1969 by Linda Shelhart, Canterbury Stables has seen several generations of horse riders and enthusiasts. Once nestled upon a quiet, pastoral, setting off of Wrightsville Avenue, this little 12-acre piece of heaven has seen many changes over its 54 years.
Our beautiful farm setting provides the perfect backdrop for your celebration, just minutes away from top-rated hotels, award-winning beaches, and Historic Downtown Wilmington.
The Venue
The venue features a spacious 2,400 square-foot indoor space with a covered patio, ideal for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. Couples can choose from two charming ceremony locations, each surrounded by natural beauty and peaceful views.
